Overview
Lindystock is headed north this summer on the August long weekend (July 29 to Aug 1, 2011) to the borders of historic Algonquin Park near Huntsville, Ontario. Combining the tradition of Lindystock, the organizational strength of Toronto Lindy Hop and the spirit of Lindy With The Loons, Lindystock 2011 promises to be a special event.
Lindystock 2011 will be a dance event held in a wilderness setting with the comforts of a lodge, bunkhouses and so much more. Food, beds, bedding, kitchen, indoor and outdoor bathrooms and showers, kitchen, lounge and sauna will await you when you return from hiking, canoeing, wood chip volleyball, swimming and of course dancing. And bring your instruments and talents for the Variety show and nightly campfires.
This year’s event will be held at the Wolf Den Hostel just a few kilometers west of Algonquin Park and adjacent to the Oxtongue River. The Wolf Den is also only one kilometer from Algonquin Outfitters and a 15 walk to scenic Ragged Falls. The Wolf Den attracts visitors from around the world who want the convenience and comfort of a rustic lodge and bunkhouses after exploring the natural beauty of the area. See more about the Wolf Den and related links at the Wolf Den website.
There will be a “pay-one-price” for the entire weekend, lodging and all meals will be included. We kindly ask that in the spirit of the wilderness, to build a communal atmosphere and to maintain an affordable price that you sign up to help for one meal shift or DJ shift during the weekend.
Registration will open soon. Space is limited to 56 registrants so be sure to register early! Stay tuned to this website for all the latest news.
