Shake That Sugar Flapper – created and instructed by Joanna Kassoulides of the Sugar Shakers is an all women’s 1920’s and 1930’s Solo Charleston and Vintage Jazz Choreography class. These classes are open to all levels from beginner to advanced as well as drop in and beginner friendly. Dancing solo is a fun way to express yourself, gain balance and confidence in body movement, which can lend to many aspects of dance.
The Sugar Shakers also offer partnered dance classes with Joanna Kassoulides and Lawrence Chan. With nearly a decade of dance under their belts and a vast knowledge of partner dancing in various forms of swing dances from the 1920’s-1950’s, Lawrence and Joanna now have the opportunity to share this knowledge with you! The Monday night Partnered Dance Classes have a variety of dance styles and levels from beginner to advanced in Swing/Lindy Hop, Charleston and Specialty classes.
