On March 14th, 2009, as part of Frankie Week, Torontonians gathered in front of the CN Tower in order to participate in the Global Shim Sham in honour of Frankie Manning’s upcoming 95th birthday. That evening, a birthday party was thrown in Frankie’s honour, complete with a live swing band, party favour, cake, and of course more shim sham shimmy goodness.
